During a job interview, I mentioned my fertility treatment, and suddenly I wasn’t invited through to the next round
In principle, it is prohibited to ask during a job interview whether you wish to have children, are pregnant or already have children. If you were asked this anyway and the response was negative, you can report this to us by providing further details about the interview (date, content, those present) and the recruitment process (job vacancy, invitation to interview, any feedback). We will then provide you with further information about the relevant legislation and, if there is sufficient evidence, we may contact the company to draw their attention to the prohibition on discrimination and the relevant legislation. This can be done either anonymously or by disclosing your identity, and will, of course, only take place if you give your explicit consent.
You can also report any other unfair treatment you have experienced in connection with your fertility treatment to the Institute.
