I’m being singled out at work since I came out
Are you facing a lack of understanding or bullying at work after coming out or because of your gender expression? Or have you even been dismissed? Please let the Institute know. We can provide you with more information about your rights and the options available to you in such situations. Furthermore, this helps us keep track of which companies are failing to take adequate measures to prevent such situations.
If you wish to report this, please try to briefly summarise what has happened to you. You should also gather any evidence demonstrating, for example, the harassment or lack of understanding, and upload it along with your report (this could include screenshots of messages between colleagues, emails, etc.).
If your situation led to your dismissal, you may also send us your employment contract, C4 form and all correspondence relating to this dismissal. This will enable us to carry out an initial analysis before we contact you again to provide you with further practical assistance. If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to include them with your report.
You can also report any other instances of unfair treatment you have experienced relating to your gender expression or transition, whether at work or in public life, to the Institute.
